Barbados does not require a waiting period or minimum stay to get married on the island. All couples wishing to get married in Barbados must apply in person at the office of the Ministry of Affairs in Bridgetown, the capitol city. Required documents include valid passports, birth certificates and return tickets. For previously married individuals this requirement additionally includes the presentation of an original Decree Absolute or certified copy of your final divorce judgment. Couples desiring a Roman Catholic wedding must send pertinent documents to the bishop of Bridgetown.
