Music adds so much to your wedding and choosing music for your ceremony and reception may seem like a daunting task with so many wonderful choices available but the important thing to remember is to select music that reflects the love you share for each other. For the ceremony, choose music selections specifically for the following: the prelude or when guests arrive, the processional or when the wedding party walks down the aisle, during the ceremony, after the exchange of vows, during the lighting of a unity candle and the recessional or when the newly married couple and wedding party departs. Music for your reception generally requires a multitude of selections including songs or music for the bouquet toss, introduction of the new couple, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, wedding party songs and the last dance. Consider your wedding venue and select music appropriate for the location such as classical, hymns or gospel music for a church, classic or soft favorites for a formal setting and the latest in popular music for a non-traditional wedding.
