Before You Go
Locate a bridal show in your area, most major cities offer one or two a year. Go to the bridal show’s website for information on exact dates and registration. Bring an extra tote bag or backpack for carrying vendor information such as pamphlets, brochures, business cards, freebies and other items.

Q: Bill, what are your top tips for having an optimum Great Bridal Expo experience?
A: “Arrive early, wear comfortable shoes, bring a notebook and pen or pencil, bring your cell phone or smart phones with wedding apps installed, and finances…Don’t forget your checkbook or credit cards as most exhibitors offer unheard of show specials and discounts.”

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: “Dress for comfort and dress to enjoy yourself.”

Q: Who do you recommend that I bring with me to the show?
A: “Your fiancé and anyone else who is involved with the planning decisions for your wedding.”

Q: Are children allowed to the Great Bridal Expo?
A: “Yes.”

At the Bridal Show
When you arrive, check the posted show schedule for upcoming fashion show times as these are must-see event for brides and you will want to show up early as seating might be limited. Once inside be sure to visit all the exhibitors as most will be having show specials for their services

Q: How much time should I expect to spend while attending a bridal show?
A: “Many brides will bring their fiancés and make a day of it…average stay is around 3.5 hours… There will be exhibits to see, people who want to say hello and answer your wedding, honeymoon and home questions.”

Be sure to stay hydrated and plan to take occasional rest break as attending a show involves many hours and long stretches of walking, browsing and standing.

Q: When are the prizes for the show awarded?
A: “The grand prizes are awarded during the two fashion shows, and for these you must be present to win, but, every exhibitor has their own unique prize and the winners of those are posted at the conclusion to the fashion shows.”

Q: How long does the bridal fashion show last?
A: “Two fabulous fashion shows lasting about one hour twenty minutes total.”

Q: Am I allowed to take photos or video of the fashion shows?
A: “Yes, bring you cell and snap pics of the fashions you like for either you, your bridesmaids, and the men in the wedding party too!”
