Promote Your Business

Spreading the word about your wedding photography business is critical to your success. Incorporate a combination of print and online advertising with emphasis on presenting a professional image to your future clients. Brand yourself with a professional logo and maintain the same presence of style across all media. Create a website, blog, twitter account and Facebook page to allow for communications and display of images. Consider attending a bridal show to attract prospective customers.

Workflow and Operations

Wedding photographers work onsite at weddings, your office may be home-based or located in a professional building. Ensure that your business meets all the legal requirements for operations in your state and city. Create a budget and hire the services of an accountant for tax assistance. Buy the best equipment that you can afford. Make sure you have a uniform workflow created for downloading, uploading, sorting, editing and delivery of wedding images. Always make back-ups of your digital images in case of emergencies such as computer mishaps or power failures.
