34815050Attending a bridal show as an exhibitor can present many wonderful opportunities to increase your wedding business exposure and help increase sales. Make a great first impression by developing your networking skills and enjoy communicating with prospects and professionals. Read on for tips about wedding exhibitor networking opportunities.

Network With Purpose

Begin with a clear understanding of why networking is important for your wedding business. Networking involves making connections and building relationships with businesses and potential clients. Establish a purpose for your networking efforts, this may include increasing revenue, generating referrals, education, introducing new products or services, creating partnerships, exchanging ideas and gaining advice.

Prepare in Advance

Before you exhibit at your next show, take the time to prepare for networking. Ensure that you have enough business cards, this helps enhance a professional appearance. Show up early to get your exhibit space setup so that you have enough time walk the floor and introduce yourself to the other exhibitors that you may want to connect with. Most important of all, bring your great attitude and smile.

Make New Business Connections

The key to making a new business connection is proactive communication. Find out who will be exhibiting at the show and make a list of contacts you would like to meet. Create a list of questions to ask: “What does your company do?” and “How did you first get started?” Ask for referrals with inquiries such as “Do you know anyone who might be of need of my services” or “Can you suggest someone I can speak to about my business?”

Attend Social Events

Attend exhibitor mixers and social gatherings in your area. This provides the chance to meet other exhibitors in a more relaxed and social environment. Take the opportunity to connect and learn about other wedding businesses, their products and services, company operations, procedures and personal interests.

Share Your Expertise

Establish yourself as an expert in your field and if possible, volunteer for workshops, lectures or demonstration opportunities. Interact and network with others by fielding questions and sharing your wedding business expertise.

Follow-Up After the Show

For networking to be successful it is important to follow-up with your contacts after the bridal show. All it takes is a quick email, phone call or note letting them know it was great to meet and that you would like to stay in touch. Create a database of your contacts and keep record of the frequency of your follow-up communications.

Exhibit at the Great Bridal Expo, the nation’s longest-running national bridal show — nearly 40 years in business featuring both national and local area businesses with the latest in wedding trends. Exhibit to meet with the couples, brides, friends, families and wedding planners who attend who are in need of your business’ product or service. The many benefits for exhibitors include high-quality venues, a comprehensive bridal show marketing plan, complete contact database, post-show advertising and the opportunity to present your business to the wedding market.
