A. Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau’s dedicated Ambassador of Bliss, has been available to couples since 2012. She has all the answers when it comes to wedding vendors and services and is at the ready to help with creative ideas for venue selection, hotel room blocks, transportation recommendations and much more. A. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau is a resource for couples looking to tie the knot in an awe-inspiring setting. From exchanging vows in a luxurious hotel to barefoot in the sand along 23 miles of Blue Wave beaches, couples can walk down an aisle set in a romantic garden or in a natural tropical setting like Butterfly World, with thousands of butterflies fluttering about to set the tone. An elegant yacht sailing along the 300 miles of navigable waterways or an under-the-sea ceremony surrounded by some 300 species of fish as witnesses is made for couples with water-wanderlust. Make it a picture-perfect wedding at one of the area museums like the NSU Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, featuring intimate spaces surrounded by pops of color and masterful works of art.

Q: What else can you tell me about Greater Ft Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau?

Couples from across the U.S. and around the world converged on Fort Lauderdale, on February 5, 2015, to take part in an historic group wedding and vow renewal to mark the new dawn of same-sex marriage equality in Florida. Representing 18 U.S. states, Europe, and South America, the LGBT and straight couples were greeted by former *NSYNC member and Dancing with the Stars alum, Lance Bass, who delivered a moving address on the meaning of love as the event’s official “Love is Love” ambassador.

Hosted by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) CEO and president, Nicki E. Grossman, the “Love is Love” destination wedding, was presided over by Reverend Dr. Durrell Watkins, senior minister, of the Sunshine Cathedral. The newlyweds and recommitted couples attended a post-ceremony champagne toast and reception at the W Fort Lauderdale.

A. Thousands of weddings annually take place throughout Broward County, but we have not ever had one at our offices.
